Because if It Isn’t Neon… It Shouldn’t Be On: Get Your Flourescent Fit Ready for This Thursday at Ivy

Written by Laura Peck

What includes neon LED lighting, blow-up zoo animals, leopard print balloons, glow-in-the-dark wristbands and glasses, a crowd doused in neon and ready to rage, and DJ DAINJAZONE of the PARTY ROCK Crew spinning beats throughout the evening to keep them amped up? What about a live performance by a VERY special guest that is DEFINITELY NOT to be underestimated when it comes to size… because he’s SEXY, AND he knows it?

The answer is clear: TKProductions’ “If It Isn’t Neon… It Shouldn’t Be On” Party at Ivy Nightclub in approximately T-Minus 48 hours.

I’ve already stocked up plenty on neon accessories and supplies in anticipation for this event… it’s gonna be a good one. To give you an idea of the kind of “props” I’m referring to per se, below is a diagram for your personal convenience:

Neon Party Tools and Instruments; Exhibit A

Even better, to top you off (in multiple ways) we’re gonna be offering you our TK Thursday Night Drink Special: $8 Grey Goose, Bacardi, and Cazadores until Midnight… so you can save bucks while you GET BUCK. Who wants tiny $12 wells drinks packed with ice at other venues when you can get premium top shelf liquors at discount prices here? Let’s use some common sense people.

If it isn't neon... well someone just might end up taking that off for you.Remember kids… the dress code will be slightly more relaxed this week due to the Neon theme, but please respect the fact that Ivy Nightclub, Winebar, and Rooftop is an upscale venue. Don’t have anything neon for this party and not sure if you’ll be able to stock up in time? Come in white; it glows in the dark under the LED and black lighting in a similar nature. ;)

[U4ic]: NYE 2012 with TK Productions
Written by Laura Peck

EUPHORIA [Ancient Greek]: a mental and emotional condition in which a person experiences intense feelings of well-being, elation, happiness, ecstasy, excitement and joy.

How well will YOU be enjoying yourself at midnight this NYE? Well, Ivy Nightclub at Andaz Hotel San Diego, TK Productions, and Targa Trophy have announced our resolution for 2012: to ensure that our guests enter the New Year in an absolutely PERFECT state of EUPHORIA.

So adamant are we on this goal that we have dubbed EUPHORIA the name of the party itself – guaranteed to be filled with fantasy and live entertainment in four alluring environments: the Ivy Rooftop, the Ivy Winebar, the Ivy Nightclub, and the Ivy Grand Ballroom. TK Productions will be working together with the staff of Andaz San Diego and Ivy Nightclub to help put together the very best elements of entertainment to create an event that will elicit the most exciting and magical atmosphere possible in all of San Diego. EUPHORIA will send you into the New Year with a night to remember. DANCE the night away in the Ivy Nightclub and Grand Ballroom… and maybe even share your first kiss of 2012 under the stars on the Rooftop… ;)

[LIVE ENTERTAINMENT]:

Do You Like Bass? They’re On That Different Sh*t. Barely into their twenties, Classixx has begun defining a new sound for the electronic music scene. Their airy, flowy, funk-inspired grooves are unique, catchy, and f*cking golden. With recent remixes of tracks by groundbreaking artists such as Phoenix, Wolfgang Gartner, Shiny Toy Guns, and The Sounds – and collaborations with producers such as Villains, their echoey midtempo resonance immediately grabs your attention – and instantaneously makes your body flow to the frequencies of their lo-fi phenomenon.

Rapid firecracker eclectic explosion switch. Musical melting pot sensation Vokab Kompany truly defines the epitome of E.C.L.E.C.T.I.C. Straight out of San Diego and one of the strongest locally-supported groups in the area, Vokab is an electronic, soul-influenced hip-hop band composed of 7 pieces – keyboard/synthesizer, drums, bass, guitar, and violin – which accompany MC duo Rob Hurt and Burkey Baby. Bound on the idea live performers accompanying their music enhance the experience for their listeners, you’ll often find them incorporating stilt walkers, burlesque dancers, clowns, hoola- hoopers, guest musicians, and belly dancers into their shows.

Jump on the party wagon.

“A sound whose genre goes something like: hip-hop, soul, electro, funk. You have two MCs whose charged, sped-up lyrics flow with their made-to-sound effortless and seamless synergy. Their voices are playfully vivacious and positive. And their sound is layered with creative electro beats. ” – Sam Dorman, NBC San Diego

iClub: Mashed Episode 007 – Guestmix by DJ Dainjazone. Find this free Podcast on iTunes to get a taste of Party Rock label DJ Dainjazone – who will also be performing on NYE to give you some classic San Diego-style Party Rock infusion flare. Mash it. Mix it. Stir it. Shake it. Taste it. And DOWN IT.

Where the drinks are hotter than the chili sauce. And the DJs are hotter than the crowd. This pretty much explains POSSO The DJ: Vanessa Giovacchini and Marylouise Pels. Currently residing in Los Angeles, their unique palette for fashion and music has influenced a sound that is a sexy curation of Nu-Disco, House, Funk, Disco and Dance. Not to mention these two girls are pretty damn sexy themselves. POSSO has played alongside the likes of The Juan Maclean, Aeroplane, Treasure Fingers, Cut Copy, and Classixx. In addition to music, Vanessa and Marylouise have designed and marketed an avant-garde accessories line with a focus on functionality for a modern versatile look.

Spin and spin heads.

Lip GLOSS? Ha. Think again. Throughout the evening, guests will also be enchanted by the live showcases of the incredibly talented and versatile Lipstik Inc. dancers, performing on stage and in all four rooms of entertainment.

Bottle Service. It’s New Years Eve. Literally only once a year. So you might as well go all out. Feel the full VIP experience with a bottle service package, starting at $800 for four people. All bottle service packages of course feature VIP admission to the New Year’s Eve party for each guest and premium liquor with mixers… PLUS a bottle of champagne and party favors. (Who doesn’t like party favors? Save your noisemakers for meee if you don’t!) For bottle service reservations, please contact Brian Post | 760.840.9339.

If you’ve ever celebrated NYE in downtown San Diego before, then you ALREADY KNOW how horrible the taxi situation can get… demand is always much higher than supply and it’s bound to be a buzz-kill if you try to compete. SURGEON GENERAL’S WARNING [Re: TK Productions' SD Nightlife Industry Vegas Takeover Trip - PLEASE READ BEFORE PARTICIPATING]
Written by Laura Peck

GENERAL SURGEON’S WARNING: Going on TK Productions’ 2nd Annual San Diego Industry Vegas Takeover December 11th-13th may result in POPPING WAY TOO MANY BOTTLES; EXCESSIVE DEBAUCHERY AND HEDONISM; BEING OUT OF TOUCH WITH REALITY; AN EXTREME LACK OF SLEEP; EPIC DANCE PARTIES; OVERDRAFTING YOUR BANK ACCOUNT; DIFFICULTY RECALLING CERTAIN INFORMATION/EVENTS; BEING UNABLE TO TRANSITION BACK INTO REAL LIFE; and most importantly… SAN DIEGO KICKING VEGAS’ ASS. (The latter is guaranteed to happen no matter what – so don’t worry, you’ll be getting your penny’s worth.) And if you went last year, you ALREADY KNOW it was nothing less than f*cking phenomenal. I’m kind of worried for the group’s vital signs, honestly – we already have a bunch of I.D.I.O.T.S. on board so far who have committed themselves to going all out for their birthdays, including the following: Jeremy Reese of DJhere, Rodney Daylamy of Taste & Thirst, Gio Morelli of Analog, Brandon Thomason of TK, Manny Parra of R.A.P., Greg Cohen, DJ FishFonics, Brian Barr (Mr. Dee Jay), and DJ Sadler of Ivy… plus more than 100 non-birthday ragers. “Como se dice sh*tshow?”

Okay, so here’s the FB event to give you some more clarify/info… check it.
http://www.facebook.com/events/326444777370127/?ref=ts

We’ll be staying at the Palms. Or officially, “The Palms Casino Resort.” Ooo-la-la. TK’s got you hooked up when it comes to rates. Rooms are super discounted – $49 per night. So if you have 4 people to a room they are super-dee-DUPER cheap. UTILIZE.
To book your room, call: 866.942.7770.
Discount Code: N9DTOWN

Till the break of dawn.

We have scheduled and organized club events for everyone planned out so all us San Diego peeps stick together/party together and get in for free. Your cover is included with the room packages you buy. We got your cover, covered… yeah, that.

We have a charter bus option too – HOW convenient for those of us that don’t want to worry about driving, and just want to worry about partying! Which would be most of us – WHAT a coincidence! Which would explain why almost all of us are doing said “bus option” then. Not only does the bus make everything 3402394331210087 times easier, it’s also a great way to get your party vibe on and connect with the group on the way there. It really enhances the whole idea and feeling of SAN DIEGO “taking over” Vegas. It’s like we all become a team. TEAM SAN DIEGO, that is. As someone who drove to Vegas last year and felt like I really missed out on this part of the experience, I highly recommend the bus option. Seriously, DO IT.

If you’re the type that always tends to go a wee bit too hard in Sin City, and have suspicions of being hungover on the way back – and the thought of even being a PASSENGER in a long drive back seems torturous – never fear, TK knows where you’re coming from. There’s a two-way AND cheaper one-way option available… so if you need to fly back, go right ahead. ;)
Bus packages: $60 Roundtrip | $40 One-Way
To Book Charter Bus:
http://www.ournightlife.com/event.cfm?showTimingID=962
Discount Code is “TK”, and it’ll give you a $10 discount.
The bus will leave from Firehouse, sometime in the am – exact time to be determined. We’ll keep everyone updated.

CONCLUSION/ABSTRACT: Going on this Industry Vegas Takeover trip is pretty much mandatory for anyone who A) works in the San Diego Nightlife Industry, B) is socially involved in the Industry Scene, or C) just really likes to party a lot.

NOW LET’S GET IT IN.

Interview with DJ Kyle Flesch
Written by Laura Peck

DJ Flesch doing what he does best.

[What made you want to become a DJ initially?]
Initially, it was something I was always interested in during high school. I’ve always had a passion for music, but I’m from Montana, so there’s not really much of a potential there for DJing or the music industry obviously… then I moved here in 2005 for school. Then I met Antonio Aguilera, who was running a DJ school at his studio… he kind of took me under his wing and became my mentor.

[What type of equipment do you use and why? What do you recommend for beginners?]
I started out with vinyl and I’m really glad I did. I still use Technics turntables to this day. I prefer the Pioneer 800 or 900 Mixer over the Rane Mixer – I’m more comfortable with the fader control, and I like the headphone cues.

[In your opinion, what are the advantages and disadvantages of CDJs vs. vinyl - and why is it necessary for a DJ to learn how to use both?]
I prefer vinyl, although I do obviously know how to use both CDJs and vinyl. I like vinyl because I can beatmatch faster and in general manipulate the track easier than I can on CDJs. Most clubs give you the option of playing on turntables or CDJs.

[Do you always bring CDs with you as well as a laptop, even though you prefer turntables?]
Yes, I keep CDs in my backpack just in case turntables aren’t available.

Fortune 421, yo.
DJ Flesch keeps it fresh.

[What is your opinion on newer turntableless programs such as Traktor?]
I have personally never used Traktor so I don’t know that much about it, but I don’t think any program or controller will ever take the place of turntables or CDJs.  Those two pieces of equipment will always be the industry standard.

[For you, what is the most rewarding part about DJing?]
I like viewing the crowd’s response and love feeding off their energy… which is why you’ll always see me jumping around the booth. I always say to myself, “If I’m not having fun, why would I expect the crowd to be enjoying it?” It drives me nuts when I see DJs sleeping in the booth.

Goliath, basically.
Flesch amping the crowd up.

[What is your favorite day/venue to play at and why?]
In San Diego, I’d definitely have to say the Side Bar Five/Ten parties… I played at a few of them over the summer. There is just an insane amount of energy at them, everyone is having such a good time, and I love working with the staff there.
Some other really memorable parties were when I headlined at the Playboy Mansion Party. It was out of control… and just a big accomplishment for me as a DJ. I also really enjoyed my experience at the Sundance Film Festival last year in Park City, Utah.  We took over a warehouse and produced 4 nights of events for the opening weekend.  I opened up for Crystal Method, which was a highlight of the weekend. It was seriously just like Beverly Hills in the snow!

[Can you explain to us the difference between what you play in your set as an opening DJ vs. a headliner?]
Essentially, you don’t want to play anything that you know the headliner will be playing… so obviously as an opener you don’t want to include any tracks that are super hot right now. I like to play tracks that have good energy or maybe tracks that were hot a couple years ago.  You don’t want to burn the headliner, but you got to make sure the crowd is feeling it when the headliner comes on.

[What’s your favorite type of electronic/dance music if you could describe it? What are some of your favorite artists right now?]
I like a variety of genres within the house music bubble, but I prefer tracks that are super high energy or have a funky sexy vibe to them. Right now – I’d say my favorite artists are R3hab, Calvin Harris, and Chuck Love.

Become a Whistleblower for Peace: Support the FALLING WHISTLES Face Campaign at Ivy Nightclub this Thursday
Written by Laura Peck

Courtesy of fallingwhistles.com

The Democratic Republic of Congo is home to the deadliest war since World War II. Over the last decade more than 6 million people have died, and nearly 1,500 people continue to lose their lives daily. Sexual violence is a huge problem in Congo, since soldiers rape and pillage during battles and ambushes. Thousands of children are involved in the war, without their choice or consent.

What exactly is this war over? There are a number of reasons, dating back over 100 years. A combination of unstable and corrupt leadership, a long history of hate between local groups and tribes, and international interest in Congo for its numerous natural resources and mines has caused a horrifically violent and incredibly complicated amount of conflict.  It is this complexity that demands for a new, more comprehensive approach to end the war.

The Falling Whistles campaign launched with the following core idea behind it: make their weapon your voice and be a whistleblower for peace in Congo. They stand by the concept of partnership: “Together, we’ll become the voice of a growing coalition for peace in the Democratic Republic of Congo.” When you buy the Whistle, you not only support the organization, but you spread the word of the cause whenever you wear your protest around your neck.

The Falling Whistles story reveals two urgent needs:
1. Children escaping the war-region.
2. Children forced to the frontlines of war.

In Congo, Falling Whistles is developing partnerships with community leaders who are rehabilitating these children, and helping break the cycle of them regularly being pulled back into war. Falling Whistles, together with these local leaders, does this through education, art, sports, music, human rights education, vocational skills training, medical treatment, and nutritional services.

There are several Congo Partnerships through Falling Whistles, which allow you to track exactly how the foundation is spending your money on the cause: CONGO PARTNERSHIPS

Courtesy of fallingwhistles.com

This provides reassurance and specificity to those who choose to donate. Falling Whistles has also released its first Annual Report of its progress, which can be viewed and downloaded through the following link: ANNUAL REPORT

Since learning about the size of the conflict in Congo and reading the Falling Whistles story, the organization has been built on the shoulders of sacrifice from those who did what they could with what they had. The Annual Report shares that story, as well as their numbers and statistics from 2009. They will continue to publish reports like these on an annual basis.

The goal of Falling Whistles is for every dime you donate to go directly toward solving this global problem, and they are moving quite steadily in that direction by pursuing donations that are specifically for overhead expenses.

“Sooo… what do we do now that summer pool parties are over???”: Introducing the concept of Pigskin Party Buses and Monday Funday
Written by Laura Peck

Summer 2011 in San Diego was phenomenal to say the least. The weather was virtually flawless: the only rain that seemed to fall this summer was an endless trend of champagne showers. The crowd was also virtually flawless: our promotional teams and advertising seemed to bring out an unbelievably good-looking crowd with an amazing vibe. And the parties themselves were ABSOLUTELY flawless. Intervention at Hard Rock Hotel rocked it: with its close-to-20 promotional companies working together simultaneously under NO roof, it manifested an absolutely ridiculous rendezvous. Belvedere seemed to pour into glasses like rivers. The dance floor went off like crazy – I can’t even count how many shuffle-offs went down. I think it’s finally time to say that Summer 2011 has topped that of Summer 2008, when the Intervention Pool Party first made its debut in San Diego. Not only did Hard Rock bring in some amazing world-renowned headliners, the venue also made an effort to support the San Diego music production Industry by doing several Local DJ Sets composed entirely of extremely talented individuals spinning straight out of our own city.

Intervention Grand Opening with Paul Oakenfold

WaveHouse… that Utopian mixture of beach and bass seemed to leave us always craving for more… so afterward we’d take the party bus back downtown to Voyeur for more house beats, or stay local and head to Bar West in Pacific Beach for some more good times.

WaveHouse’s exclusivity factor was off the charts; there always seemed to be a crapload of people that never made it in, keeping the hype at a level 10.

But by far the most impressive part about the venue this summer? WaveHouse’s lineup was to die for. Calvin Harris, Dirty South, Wolfgang Gartner, and Skrillex stopped by to spin, just to name a few; one of the most epic moments definitely being when Dada Life filmed their video for their single “Happy Violence” at the venue while performing: [San Diego's New Theme Song]

But now that these amazing summer parties are over… what do we do NOW for Sunday Funday? This is a sudden topic that many of us in the San Diego “always-on-the-go” crowd have recently been forced to address. Never fear, TK is here to help you tackle that problem with the following list of suggestions:

Firehouse Lounge Pacific Beach – This stylish but comfortable and just-beachy-enough “American Eatery” (and Drinkery) has been a classic hangout for the San Diego Nightlife Industry, especially on Sundays, for years. There are several factors that make going to Firehouse on Sunday the perfect “Funday” environment, including the following: [A] Once California Cold Weather (f*ucking brrr) hits, the Firehouse staff will assemble an exquisite PLASTIC AWNING over their rooftop for our personal comfort. We can wear shorts and t-shirts “outside” even if it’s windy, chilly, cloudy, or rainy – YES! [B] $16 premium champagne bottles that you can walk around the bar with like a baller and pour into your friends’ mouths? AMAZING. [C] The ability to book bottle service for you and your group if you want – where else can you do that during the day in PB? Yep, that’s what I thought… [D] The party kicks off around 2pm… and around 4pm or so, an awesome dance floor develops around the DJ booth/firepit area on the rooftop. So if you have the sudden strong urge to dance to the amazing house beats you’re listening to… go right ahead. [E] This should be obvious, but Firehouse PB attracts San Diego’s premier party crowd – especially on Sundays. So if you’re not having fun with the people around you… well, it might be time to start taking things personally.

Some All-American FOOTBALL, of course! TK will be collaborating with Taste & Thirst’s illustrious… or maybe more accurately, notorious… Rodney Daylamy to bring all you downtown/PB party people the new and upcoming Sunday trend… the fully catered CHARGERS INDUSTRY TAILGATE PARTY AT THE “Q”. We’ll be doing this amazing all-inclusive style party during every San Diego Chargers home game. Just what exactly does this include, you ask?

  • ROUND TRIP LIMO BUS RIDE TO AND FROM QUALCOMM STADIUM
  • ALL-YOU-CAN-DRINK ALCOHOL
  • ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT FOOD
  • LIVE DJs
  • BEER PONG TOURNAMENTS
  • FLIP CUP
  • MULTIPLE TVs TO WATCH THE GAMES
  • And more.

The next one’s in about a month, so stay on your toes for important updates and contact your favorite TK promoter for discounted presale tickets, or buy the day of if you must. Limo buses leave from Cabo Cantina and Taste & Thirst, and take you back home after the game is over… so you do the partying, and we’ll take care of the driving.

Has your Sunday Funday kept going and turned into a nighttime ordeal as well? Well check out Thrusters Lounge (in Pacific Beach, on Mission Blvd. and Emerald). Not only is Thrusters Lounge my favorite spot in PB in general, Fortune 421 Industries has been throwing a super legit “Fortune Sundaes” party there every Sunday night. It kicks off around 10:00-11:00pm. Make sure you have your dancing shoes on because lots of shuffling always tends to go down. Oh, and in case you develop a little appetite while you’re out and need to satisfy your sweet tooth? The word “Sundaes” in Fortune’s event has a double meaning – go ahead and order an ice cream sundae and spoon-feed yourself in synchronization to Craig Smoove‘s house and dubstep.

Sunday School at 207 in Hard Rock Hotel has long been a definite go-to spot on Sunday nights. The staff does some role-playing in their “School outfits,” the bartenders all tend to “School” your tolerance with their seriously heavy hands, the vibe is great, and it’s always a comfortable mix of old friends and fresh new faces, so it’s the perfect environment to meet new people in. The size of the crowd also tends to stay fairly consistent – it’s never empty but it’s also never overly crowded, which is definitely a relief. Don’t expect to deal with a sweaty, claustrophobic situation at all.

But despite all these great establishments and ideas, at the bottom of our San Diegan hearts we still know we’re gonna have a small void where those pool parties used to be… something’s just missing from our party platter. Of course TK Productions has jumped on the solution to fill it: the concept of MONDAY FUNDAY at Guesthouse at Stingaree. This brand new sexy and sophisticated nightclub located inside the megaclub Stingaree was recently completely revamped and made over to give you the ultimate experience in exclusivity and entertainment. Designed by David Krumins with an extremely unique and intelligent but sultry and dark style, Guesthouse gives you an eery feeling – that you soon realize is actually just an overwhelming urge to dance. The combination of feeling surrounded by soundwaves from a state-of-the-art system and being overlit by multiple LED walls (designed by John Lyons) gives you an experience unlike any other club in San Diego. Now add on a great layout that merges everyone together in a fluid way (making it strikingly easy to meet people), a comfortable, casual vibe, a great-looking group composed almost entirely of members of the Service and Nightclub Industry that REALLY knows how to get ‘er done, AND an element of competition.

I TRIPLE-dog-dare you to name a better social situation.

I ain't tryin' to flex this, I be on the GUESTlist...

Every Monday, Guesthouse and TK bring you “THE SCENE” Ultimate Industry Battle, where different companies/establishments within separate sub-industries compete against each other for smack-talkability, awards, monetary prizes, and more. Last week it already got pretty damn cutthroat when the first official bartending war ensued between Pricilla and Eddie from Miller’s Field Pacific Beach vs. Branno and Camron from Voyeur Nightclub. Over the next several weeks, there will be many other Industry Battles, including

  • Promoters vs. Promoters
  • VIP staff vs. VIP staff
  • Go-go dancers vs. Go-go dancers
  • Photographers vs. Photographers
  • Bus companies vs. Bus companies
  • DJs vs. DJs

You may have thought you were in some sort of predicament, but our propositions are sure to help bring MUCH MORE than just hope to even the hardest of partiers’ fall-thru-spring “Sunday Doneday” dilemma. Blackout-prone? Do you tend to bend? We still have you covered. TK’s failproof methods are F.O.M.O. tested-and-approved, and will be sure to turn any flatness in your schedule back into a true Funday. We also cover the opposite end of the spectrum – all you Sober Sallies out there will also be sure to turn your swag on full swing… so don’t you worry. ;)

I Am Always Tired Because I Become a Superhero at Night
Written by Laura Peck

“Dude, I am like, sooo hungover right now.”

YOU SHOULD PROBABLY LIKE THIS.

A loyal “liker” of this Facebook page since summer 2009, I truly believe that working in the Sub-Industry of Event Promotions is much like the role of a Superhero. Since the promoter is essentially the middleman who works between the nightclub and the clubgoer, many of us have often felt that at times we have had to go to extremes to “save the party” or make sure people are still having fun in order to compensate for issues/problems that were clearly out of our control.

I personally have regularly dominated/killed/PWNED San Diego nightlife (and before that, college house parties) in dedication to protecting the general public from my following list of ARCHENEMIES/SUPERVILLAINS: Boredom, Sobriety, Everyday Stress, Responsibility, Morale, Committed Relationships, and Reality. Talk about a Rogues’ Gallery.

Other factors that make me a superhero?

I have an extremely strong IMMORAL CODE, including a willingness to risk my own personal safety in the service of NO good with an obvious expectation of instant gratification and immediate rewards.

My DISTINCTIVE COSTUME? Club attire. Some form of short/tight dress and stilettos. Doyyy.

I also have a SECRET IDENTITY. I am actually a very scholarly individual who double-majored in Communication Studies and Spanish and minored in Marketing at USD. I work my combo of office job/club promotions as Director of Marketing Outlets for TK, yeah… but I ALSO secretly work as a private tutor (in most cases for rich La Jolla high school students/their overly-involved and concerned parents) by day. This enables me to mix with the “ordinary”/non-partying human population. (Think Clark Kent, people.)

MY UNDERLYING MOTIF/THEME: “Maybe partying will help…” – TK Productions’ slogan.

A SUPPORTING CAST OF RECURRING CHARACTERS: Any one of my 12 other illustrious TK Productions coworkers… you can catch us on a recurring basis at Guesthouse @ Stingaree every Monday, Ivy Nightclub at Andaz Hotel every Thursday, Stingaree every Friday, and 207 and Float at Hard Rock Hotel every Saturday… fighting off at least four our of the seven enemies listed above at a time (usually more, though). We all specialize in different sub-services of superheroism. While some of us save the public from our list of archenemies through promotions in general, some of us use specific super powers such as: VIP Services (helping people spend a ton of money on completely disposable/possibly meaningless substances or ideas such as alcohol and temporary “status” – it sure as hell is fun though, huh? And hence, totallyyy worth it).

My Superhero MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION? Ummm, luxury limo party buses. The Batmobile ain’t got shit on Cali Party Bus, betch.

My THEME SONG: House music, house music, and more f*cking house music. Enough said.

A HEADQUARTERS/BASE OF OPERATIONS that is kept hidden from the general public: The TKProductions/Dtown Productions Office. Let’s just say it’s SOMEWHERE on West C Street… can’t say where though.

My BACKSTORY that explains the circumstances by which I acquired my abilities, as well my motivation for becoming a superhero? THE ECONOMY SUCKS, duhhh. Why fight for a 9-5 when you can get paid to party and tutor at will in the meantime?

My WEAKNESS… Kryptonite? Please. My weakness is F.O.M.O. (Fear Of Missing Out). I’ll admit it now – I just can’t resist a good party.

Hope this explains why I am always tired during the day – BECAUSE I BECOME A SUPERHERO AT NIGHT. Kthxbai ♥

Canadian Dupstep duo ‘Zeds Dead’ drops another great tune. They drop a free song recently called ‘Coffee Break’. With some vocals from Aretha Franklin’s song called ‘I Say A Little Prayer’ along with a dubstep baseline and electro like sound. This is a pretty lay back song, turn up the speakers and enjoy.

DC and Ken Block present Gymkhana FOUR: The Hollywood Megamercial. Ken Block is back at it again with another crazy gymkhana video. This time filmed at Universal Studios in Hollywood. Filmed over the course of five days, director Ben Conrad (Zombieland and 30 Seconds or Less) and his team at Logan deliver a eHollywood caliber production complete with pyrotechnics, massive stunts and a series of unbelievable tricks. Check out the video below, make sure to watch it in HD if you can. Also at the bottom I included links to the first few. Enjoy.
